Of the Causes Which Shall Separate Members from the Congregation

1. Although it is our desire and prayer that all members of our Congregation should persevere, it is only right that provision be made for separating, from our Congregation, those persons whose state of life is no longer in conformity to its Rule and aims. Therefore, the following causes shall be deemed sufficient for the separation of members from the Congregation.

1. Deposition from the Sacred Ministry; or, in the case of Candidates for Holy Orders, the deprivation of Candidateship;

2. Abandonment of the Communion of this branch of the Holy Catholic Church for any body not in communion with the same;

3. Renunciation of the Sacred Ministry or relinquishing of the Candidateship for the same;

4. Contracting of marriage;

5. Failure to attend two successive General Chapters of the Congregation without serious cause and dispensation by the Master;

6. Failure, for six consecutive months, to attend the monthly Conference unless excused by the Warden or Master for serious cause; and, in the case of members living at too great a distance to attend the monthly Conference, failure to report to the Warden of his Conference (or to the Master if there be no Warden), for six consecutive months, his breaches of the Rule. In each of the two preceding cases, the Warden of the Conference shall report to the Master those who are delinquent, and the Master shall notify the Companion of his separation from the Congregation, after due warning.

7. Conviction in a civil and/or ecclesiastical court of sexual harassment or sexual misconduct.
